Costumer Designer and Technician

A married woman with only pets for children, I am a perpetually creative person. I started my college studies at Collin College in Plano, TX, finishing my Associates of Liberal Arts there before transferring to Stephens. Afterwards, I completed my undergraduate studies at Stephens College in Columbia for my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Costume Design in 2016. Over those years, I took many courses to develop my costume design and construction abilities, and have put them to the test on an array of stage productions. I’ve taken costuming and sewing courses to improve sewing technique and develop pattern-making skills, as wells as courses in costume history and theatrical makeup to aid in the presentation of a final character. Among other skills, I can also style wigs and have experience with basic millinery, leather-working, and jewelry-making. I also spent a year working with a Babylock vendor, gaining basic training in sewing machine and serger general maintenance. As far as work on shows, I have designed and prepared costumes for shows like James and the Giant Peach, Mo Willems's 'Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!', the Winter Wonderettes, the Odd Couple, and more. I have also served as Makeup and Wardrobe Supervisor for several shows like Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Since graduation, I’ve taken on several personal projects (including the design and construction of my own wedding dress), and spent a few years on staff at the Dallas Children's Theater under various roles.
